Forest
Bushes & Caves — Stealth MapBushes & Caves — Stealth Map
Cover Types
Bushes, caves, rock formations. Abundant natural cover with many hiding spots across a large map.
Danger Zone
Geyser Fields — instant death area. Must avoid at all costs during relocations.
Best For
Stealthy survivors — bush hiders and cave campers who prefer slow, methodical play
Survival Tips
Rotate between bush clusters after each pulse. Cave entries are safe but predictable — don't stay too long. Avoid Geyser Fields.
City
Rooftops & Tunnels — Vertical MapRooftops & Tunnels — Vertical Map
Cover Types
Rooftops, tunnels, indoor rooms. Vertical gameplay with quick repositioning through stairways and underground passages.
Danger Zone
Stair Gaps — deadly gaps in stairwells. Survivors fall to instant death if misjudging jumps.
Best For
Agile survivors — rooftop runners and tunnel navigators who use vertical escapes
Survival Tips
Stay on rooftops during pulses — Giants climb slowly. Use tunnels to reposition. Never cross Stair Gaps during pulse windows.
Core Mechanics
Forest favors stealth with natural cover. City favors vertical play with rooftops and tunnels. Both maps have distinct danger zones that change strategy.
Advantages
Knowing map-specific hiding spots and danger zones dramatically increases survival rate.
Challenges
Only 2 maps currently exist, and map burnout is common. The community has requested a third map (Backrooms theme).
Frequently Asked Questions
Which map is better for survivors?
Forest is generally easier for new survivors because natural cover (bushes, caves) is more forgiving. City requires mastery of vertical routes and tunnel networks.
How does map voting work?
During intermission, enter Alpha, Beta, or Charlie gates to vote for a map. The map with the most votes is selected. 2x Voting Power game pass doubles your vote.
Is there a third map coming?
Community requests include a Backrooms-themed map, but ULTRA works has not confirmed a third map. The VERITY rework may include map updates.
